Suncream in February

Sunglasses are required for this performance.

Suncream in February is an ecological image.

It is a dance of ice cubes melting on a circular table.

It is monopoly houses slowly being freed from their frozen state.

It is the sound of electric fans and the breeze on your back.

It is needing to wear suncream in February.

This performance art piece creates a nuanced image that resonates with ideas of suburbia, game-play, capitalism, ecology and isolation. It is an investigation into materiality, in an attempt to create an ecological image which explores the duality of home; in both anthropocentric communities and the larger environment.
